Send some love!
I’m not sure why the story of the deer that was wandering around downtown strikes me the way it does. Maybe it the incongruity of wildlife in such an un-Wild place as Boston Common. Or maybe it’s the unavoidable bathos in the way she died… slammed by an SUV on the Mass Pike. Don’t know. But it seems enough of an image to kick off my return to blogging.
Lots has been going on in my months away, both in my life and in the world. I spent a month in California… I didn’t find myself, as I had never gotten lost, but I was reminded of a lot of things I already knew. The best trips are like that. And the President continues to disappoint even my low expectations. But hey: at least roads in Concord are getting repaved. That’s stimulus.
There’ll be more substance here soon. I need to get over the stomach bug I picked up over the weekend so I can start drinking Writerade© (coffee) again.
But I feel like home-made shit.
Woo, hoo, I hadn’t seen the new, punchy Clue! Gotta love it. And gotta love a return to blogging. And also excellent to see that you have not drunk the Obama Kool-Aid. I so, so wanted to drink it.
Yeeeaah… I was never a big fan. I was the turd in the punchbowl at my friend’s election night party. I’m still supportive of Obama in his role of Head of State. I am still glad there’s finally a person of color in the big chair, and hopefully we’ll have a Vagina-American there before too much more time goes by.
As Head of Government, however… he’s chump change I don’t believe in.
Do you live in Concord, PDA? I am from Bedford. Small world.
Haha… no, PI: southwest Boston. But I was out at Walden Pond on Memorial Day… the roads do, indeed, suck. So, yay 0bama munnie$.
