Well, interesting. Ok, I didn't know if you were still there or not and my girlfriend, who just happens to be Chinese, has some friends in Shanghai. Thought I might try and make some introductions if you were interested. Hope you had an enjoyable time.

The Great Firewall is a bitch innit? Late last month went on a little vacation and upon our return it literally took me 5 hours to figure out that Google/Picasa wasn't going to work out for sending pics to her family. I'm not really looking forward to moving over there when the US collapses.

Anyway, take care.

Been back a few days. The Great Firewall prevented me from posting while in China, and I was too busy to do so anyway. I'm going to be a few days catching up.

I didn't know anyone there, but I made some local friends last weekend. One's going to help me learn hanyu via Skype and email.

PDA,

Funny that. You being in Shanghai. How long are you going to be there if you don't mind my asking? Other than business contacts, do you know anyone over there?

Uh-oh, it sounds like Customs didn't go to well?

It's a strange feeling to compare facilities here in the US with ones abroad. I know it was a shock to see the ultra-modern Bangkok airport and then fly back into the positively dumpy New Orleans airport.
